Hi! I’m Emir Mehmedovic. Current job: Learning Experience Designer at Telia.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I graduated in 2017 with a degree in Computer Science & Digital Media, and that's when my professional adventure began. So, picture this: I strutted out of college with a shiny degree in Computer Science, ready to conquer the world of technology! But fate had other plans for me. You see, I landed an internship at an employer branding video agency as a video editor. Now, don't ask me how a coding whiz ended up wielding editing software instead of lines of code. It's like the universe decided to play a prank on me! But hey, life's full of surprises, right?

Back then, I couldn't even figure out how to turn on a DSLR camera, let alone use one. I was a lost soul in a sea of video equipment. All I knew, deep down in my gut, was that I craved a career in the creative realm. It was a gut feeling stronger than a craving for pizza at 2 a.m.

Fast forward a few years, and guess what? I not only learned how to operate that pesky camera (thankfully, it didn't bite), but I also had the honor of working with big-name businesses like L'Oréal, Universum, and Klarna. They trusted me to whip up videos that rocked their marketing world. And let me tell you, it felt cooler than winning an impromptu dance-off.

But wait, there's more! In 2019, I scored a promotion to the majestic position of Head of Video Production at the very same agency. Who would've thought that a CS graduate turned video editing maven would rise through the ranks? I went from fumbling with cameras to leading a team of talented video editors. It's been a wild ride, my friend. I feel like I've learned a decade's worth of video wizardry in a fraction of the time. And guess what? I'm just getting started.

Now, as of 2020, my journey took a new turn as I embarked on a role that perfectly marries my creative flair with my love for education. I proudly joined Telia's Learning & Performance unit as a learning experience designer. Here, I get the incredible pleasure of expanding the minds and honing the talents of our employees. I design mind-blowing learning experiences that make people go, "Whoa, I didn't know I could do that!" It's like being a superhero, but instead of fighting crime, I'm unleashing the inner potential of our team. And trust me, it's as cool as sipping an ice-cold lemonade on a scorching summer day.

Thanks for taking the time to read my unconventional journey. Cheers to unexpected detours and the marvelous adventures they bring!

Okay, that’s the professional presentation. Other things I love are: music, photography, movies, running, volleyball, the song “Venus as a boy” by Björk, my home made carbonara and my lovely friends and family. Here’s a quote I really like:

“What shall I do with the most difficult of questions? Consider them the gateway to the path of life.”

Have a good one,
